When planning short vacations, we always look for local places to visit. We often forget how much of our own country we haven't explored. When looking for a book to add to our home library, most books covered the most familiar landmarks. When I came across the 50 Adventures in the 50 States written by Kate Siber and Illustrated by Lydia Hill, published in 2020 by Wide Eyed Editions, I was surprised to find that the book had many new and exciting facts about each of the 50 States. The book features a two-page spread for each of the fifty states providing exciting details about one of the key landmarks for each state.
What is so great about this book? With the illustrations and the book size, at 12" x 10", this oversized book is perfect as a coffee table or display book. The illustrations offer depictions of different outdoor activities with interesting facts about the nature and geography of each of one of the states.
